ELIGIBILITY: Tournament director reserves the
right to refuse entry to any bowler. Bowlers who are touring players
of the PWBA or PBA may enter.
GENERAL RULES: The tournament will be conducted
in accordance with the general playing rules and regulations of
the ABC and WIBC. The Center official however reserves the right
to make all decisions.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: All qualifying games must
be bowled over two lanes with foul lights or foul judges in operation.
LANE BREAKDOWN: Should it be necessary to move
due to a lane breakdown, scores will be transferred. Two practice
balls will be allowed on each of the new lanes per 15-minute wait.
Minimum two balls, maximum four-ball practice will be allowed.
FORMAT: Qualifying will be held in two 3-game
sets at Tenpins & More @ Rio Rancho on Friday December 31,
Saturday January 1, and Sunday January 2 at any of five squad
times. Entries will be taken through the last squad providing
lanes are available.
ENTRY FEE: Entry fee per qualifying attempt
is $60. Lineage fees for 6 qualifying games are $13.50 with the
remainder applied to prizemoney and $279 finals lineage fees on
January 2. All money subscribed as prizemoney will be returned
100 percent to participants. (Tenpins & More always adds money
to the final payoff.)
FORMAT: In the qualifying rounds, everyone
bowls 6 games in 2x3-game blocks. The top 16 scorers come back
at 1:30pm on Sunday January 2 when they will bowl 2-game double
elimination matches using a winner's and loser's bracket until
completion of the event.
TIES: If a tie occurs for 16th place, all bowlers
involved will bowl one game, then if necessary a one-ball roll-off
until the issue is decided. It is the bowler's sole responsibility
to know if they are required for a tiebreaker roll-off. If a tie
occurs in any one-game match, a ninth/tenth frame roll-off will
decide the outcome. In all instances, the bowler on the left lane
will bowl first.
PRIZE LIST: First place will pay a guaranteed
$1,000 unless by majority vote of the finalists it is voted to
spread the available prizemoney further down the prize list. All
prizemoney will include added money from Tenpins & More.
EMERGENCIES: Premature termination of the Tournament
brought about by war, national emergency or emergency causes related
to fire, natural disaster or any other reason beyond the control
of the Host Center and Organizers shall cause, to the extent required
thereby, all advertised prizes, guaranteed or otherwise, to be
pro-rated in accordance with the number of entrants who have already
bowled in the event up to the time of such termination.
