NEW BOWLING TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCED
A new bowling tournament, titled "Bowling's
XXXX Summer Games" will be held at Tenpins & More in Rio Rancho
this June and July. The event, presented by Rio Rancho company, Eclipse Plumbing, Heating
and Cooling, will feature handicap competition in teams of four, doubles, singles and
Masters, said Steve Mackie, tournament director. "We've wanted to create a contest
that would cover those four disciplines and all bowlers", said Mackie, adding that
there are mens, womens, youth and mixed events. "Entries are expected from across
New Mexico as well as west and southwest Texas, eastern Arizona and southern Colorado.
With Eclipse adding $1,000 to the prize-list, we hope this first year will allow us to
pay-out more than $3,000", said Mackie. Entry forms are available at Tenpins and
here (pdf download).
It's on again this August! The 7th Annual New Mexico OPEN!
Presented by the New Mexico Sports Authority, Tenpins & More is hosting again August 18-22,
2010.
- 1st place is a RECORD $6,500
- Total prizemoney is over $30,000
- Paid down to 48th place
- Sunday Consolation tournament for non-cashers for at least $500
- Entry Fee is still only $195 (makes this THE best value tournament in the Southwest!)
- Win-a-spot events will take place at Tenpins & More May 2, June 6, and dates in July
and August (TBA)
